Tapestry – Our lives resemble a piece of fabric, a tapestry with many disheveled threads and unorganized patterns on the back. When we turn it over, every thread is in perfect place according to the pattern of its designer. God sees the perfect design in each of us when sometimes, all we can see are the disheveled threads.   

The Women’s Ministry of Atlee Community church is designed to be a safe place where women can come together to grow closer to God and one another, through the foundation of Christ. Meeting together in a group setting allows us to grow closer to other Christians within Atlee and our community to build relationships.  We laugh, cry, share, encourage, and will never judge.  God wants us to love one another as He loved us. The Women’s Ministry is where we do just that!  Please join us and see for yourself. 

We meet on the First Monday* evening of every month for a covered dish dinner, in the Multi-Purpose Room 2 at the church. We listen as people whose lives have been touched and changed by God’s unconditional love share their personal stories with us.  We also enjoy hearing from guest speakers who are invited to come share information with the group.  Other times we may hear a speaker from one of our own ministry teams at Atlee, such as the Health Ministry Team, as they share information with our group concerning diabetes, heart disease, menopause and other topics of interest.

The Women’s Ministry also plans for other activities outside of our regularly scheduled monthly meeting.  We enjoy activities such as; weekend retreats, preparing goodie boxes for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and assisting with the Angel Tree project at Christmas to provide toys for underprivileged children in the community. We are constantly expanding this ministry as God leads, and serve with enthusiasm as He brings us new opportunities along life’s journey.
