Atlee Community Church’s drama team is lead by our drama director, Lil Harris. The Drama Team is a group of volunteers which include actors, scriptwriters, editors and set, prop and production designers.  Working together, this team presents dramas at our Sunday morning services, special events, conferences and as an out-reach ministry. Opportunities for volunteering with the Drama Team include:

For Sunday morning, specific dramas are selected based on the topic for that day.  Once the script is chosen, it is cast with actors who must begin memorizing their lines (speaking parts in the presentation). Rehearsals are held each Thursday evening at 6:00 pm.

We also prepare and provide the sets and props for each dramatic production. Sets and props range from literally nothing (an actor delivering a monologue in front of a closed curtain) to elaborate sets that take months to prepare and stage.  Typical sets include a living room or outdoor scene placed along side our band and vocalist area.

HOW TO CONNECT

The Drama Team meets as a group each Thursday at 7:00 pm at the church. Guests are welcomed to our meetings and we are always looking to recruit new members.

WHAT WE WANT YOU TO KNOW

 
The Drama Team is a fun-loving, caring group that always has a few empty chairs available in hopes that someone new will join us.  We are an inclusive group dedicated to serving God, the visitors and members of Atlee Community Church and the community around us.  Our drama group is always performing for an audience of one, the audience of Jesus Christ our Lord. It’s our act of worship to our awesome Creator.
