Jeff Boggess - Senior Pastor
|
|
Jeff and his family have been with Atlee from its beginning. He has
served in many roles but really enjoys the challenge of Senior Pastor.
He is a graduate of Tampa Bay Bible College
and loves the opportunity to share Christ with others. He is
committed to making church a place people want to come to
while presenting the truths of the Bible in a very practical
way.

Tonya Carey - Kidz Klub Director: Preschool
|
|
Tonya is responsible for the preschool program, infants through
kindergarten. Her duties include coordinating great
volunteers and finding creative ways to teach Bible
lessons that kids can get excited about.
She has been involved in children's ministry in various capacities
for ten years. Tonya and her husband, Todd, have three
great children and also raise alpacas on their farm.

Roger Fling - Director of Programming
|
|
Roger joined our staff in September of 2003 as Director of
Student Ministries. He came to us with 14 years of
ministry experience. In October 2005 Roger was moved to
Director of Programming.
He oversees the work of the
drama, music and technical directors. Roger and his
wife, Amy, have 2 beautiful daughters.

Karen Goins - Financial Secretary/Administrator/Secretary to the Senior Pastor
|
|
Karen was hired in June of 2005. She came to us with over 10
years of administrative experience to offer. Her daily
responsibilities include handling the church’s financials,
assisting in the management of the office, and secretary to
the Senior Pastor.
Karen enjoys the fulfillment of helping
the team at Atlee Community Church make things come together
for the glory of God. She resides with her husband, David
and their two children in the Mechanicsville area.

Lil Harris - Drama Director
|
|
Lil joined the staff in February (2006) as the Drama
Director, leading a volunteer team of actors, directors,
and writers in staging dramas that connect with your
everyday life.
Lil was born and raised in the Richmond
area. She graduated from UVA with a bachelor's in Drama
and French, and will have her Master's in theatre, if
she can ever finish writing her thesis. She lives with
her husband, Andy, and daughter Aly in Bumpass.

Pam Harris - Director of Small Groups
|
|
Pam oversees the small group
ministry offered at Atlee Community Church. She is
involved in leadership recruitment, development and
assistance.
She is also responsible for the promotion and
facilitation of small groups throughout the church, as well
as other small group related events. Pam is available to
help you find a group that is just right for you. You can
find her on Sunday mornings at “The Connection” table
located in the lobby.

Pamela Fox - Administrative Assistant
|
|
Pamela joined the staff
in October of 2006, as an Administrative Assistant.
Her primary responsibilities are to prepare the
Sunday morning program and announcements. She comes
to us after being a stay at home mom for 10 years
and to utilize her experience and abilities by
serving God.
Pamela resides with her husband, Jeff
and one daughter in the Mechanicsville area. She
also has grown daughter who also lives in the
Mechanicsville area and she is a grandmother of one.

Glenn Hawkins - Community Care / Teaching Pastor
|
|
Glenn joined the ministry team in August 2006.
A prior enlisted Air Force
member, Glenn served his country for 29+ years, 15 of them
as a chaplain. He and his wife, Kitty have been married for
over 26 years and are the parents of four great kids.
A sampling of Glenn’s responsibilities includes counseling,
supporting those in crisis, and conducting weddings and
funerals.

Mike Abbamonte - Director of Student Ministries
|
|
Mike comes to the Atlee staff after
working in full time youth ministry and the world of
sales. A 2002 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth
University with a degree in English, Mike brings 10
years of youth ministry experience in different roles.
Mike started his ministry work with Young Life here in
the Mechanicsville area and recently has been working
with Hope Church in the West End of Richmond. Mike
loves playing guitar, building relationships and getting
to know new people.

Mary Beth Ayres - Elementary Director
|
|
Mary Beth began working as the Elementary Director in
November of 2006. She and her family reside in Varina. She comes to
us with over 10 years of experience as a registered nurse.
Her new position with Atlee includes the
oversight of the KidStuf and Upstreet programs every Sunday morning.
God has been preparing Mary Beth for this position through
her involvement as a volunteer when KidStuf was originally launched.

Nelson Parker - Executive Director of Administration
|
|
Nelson was hired in January of 2005.
His primary role is to assist the Senior Pastor in
providing supervision, and direction, in overseeing the
staff and ministries of the church.
His duties include financial planning, facilities management and administering
to the needs of the daily operation of the church office.
Nelson resides in south Richmond with his wife Pamela, and
their 4 children.

Mark Tapscott - Technical Director
|
|
Mark was hired in July 2001
as the Music Director at Atlee. He served in that role
through February 2006, when he accepted the position of
Technical Director. Each week Mark leads the volunteer Tech
Team as they use state of the art lighting, computer and
sound equipment to creatively present the service elements.
Mark’s goal is to provide a comfortable, yet exciting
environment for people to come and discover truth concerning
God, Jesus Christ, and spiritually related matters.

Ross Wright - Director of Music
|
|
Ross joined the Atlee staff in March of 2006. Each Sunday,
he leads a team of talented volunteer musicians and singers.
In addition to serving at Atlee, Ross is a member of
Richmond based band Glass Palace.
|

Ras Peel - Director Building/Grounds
|
|
Ras joined the Atlee staff in August of 2006. He has been
attending Atlee for over 5 years. Ras and his wife Nadine
have one son.
Ras enjoys sports, especially the Cowboys and
his son playing baseball. His duties include the upkeep of
all the facilities and grounds.

Atlee SMT
|
The Spiritual Management Team
In keeping with the Biblical pattern of leadership, the SMT
is modeled after elders found in 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and 1
Peter 5:2-3. The SMT is to "Be shepherds of God's flock
that is under your care, serving as overseers - not
because you must, but because you are willing, as God
wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to
serve; not lording over those entrusted to you, but
being examples to the flock."
The role of the SMT is to assist the senior pastor and staff
in the spiritual management of the church.

Tommy Davis
|
|
Tommy is a retired engineer from VDOT. He and his
wife Melinda have been attending Atlee Community Church
since 1996. Tommy currently serves as a greeter and small
group leader.
His passion is missions and he has
traveled extensively with Atlee’s Extension Ministry to
help needy people around the nation and throughout the
world.

John Settle
|
|
John and his family have been attending Atlee since 1997. He is an
employee of SunTrust Bank, as a Senior Vice President in
Wealth and Investment Management. He earned his BS and MBA
degrees from the University of Richmond.
John is an active
member of the Drama Team and has also been a small group
leader and coach. John and his wife, Dolores, have two
children.

Mike Baldwin
|
|
Mike is currently employed at CSX Transportation as a Signal
Technician. He and his wife Pam have been attending Atlee
Community Church with their family since 2001.
Mike currently serves as a small group coach and is also a small
group leader.

Keith Walker
|
|
Keith, his wife Mary and two children have been attending
Atlee Community Church since 2002. He is currently the Senior
Manager of Perot Systems Corporation, a leading provider of
technology resources and outsourcing.
Keith serves as a Small
Group Leader and volunteers for the Technical Team, as well
as with the UPstreet and KidStuf programs. He is also passionate
about missions and helping to guide anyone wanting to learn
more about God and His purpose for their lives.
